Remember Me

If I may die, know the best of me:
That always some part of a foreign field
That is for ever Earth. There will be
In that rich lands a richer form concealed;
A form whom Earth bore, shape, made aware,
Left once, her feelings to love, her life to roam,
A body of Earth's, breathing free air,
Rushed by the rivers, blessed by suns of home.

And remember this at heart, all evil lives long away,
A wave in the endless mind, no less someday
Pass on somewhere back the thoughts by Earth given;
Her sights and songs; stays the way it's written;
And laughter, in need on friends; and calmness,
Of souls at ease, under an Earthly kindness.

--- A poem dedicated to the lost lives of wars. May you all rest peacefully.
